EAV Testing stands for Electro-acupuncture according to Vohl. EAV screening is a type of electro-vibrational testing, developed by Dr. Reinhold Voll in Germany in the 1940’s, that measured acupuncture meridian energy flow in the human body. Dr. Vohl discovered that the acupuncture points had a different resistance to a tiny electrical stimulation compared to the surrounding tissues. He discovered that when a particular organ was diseased, the readings were lower compared to an organ that had a healthy function.
Dr. Vohl also noticed that if he had the patient hold a homeopathic remedy that supported the weakened organ, the reading on the acupuncture point would improve. This was the beginning of what we call “Energy Medicine or Bio-energetic Medicine”.
Bio-Energetics is a term which embraces all aspects of the body’s energetic and informational dimensions, or life systems. It involves stress testing using a wide variety of modalities including Chinese medicine, homeopathy, nutrition and bio-resonance therapy.
Bio-Energetic testing measures the electrical resistance of the skin at specific acupuncture points. Think of your body as being electrical in nature. This testing measures the charge or the potential of the body and its systems at specific Acupuncture points, very similar to checking the charge on a battery.
The goal of a Bio-Energetic practitioner is to help bring your body into balance. It is documented that stress can lead to blocked energy, which can lead to all types of disease in the body. Although we don’t treat symptoms or cure any disease, you will find that as your energy begins to flow more freely and your body systems become balanced your symptoms will clear.
Chi Gong and Tai Chi master Ken Cohen defines stress as “a maladaptive response to change in the environment.” Finding ways to deal with stress is critical to wellness. Although stress affects individuals differently, one fact is beyond dispute: stress, especially unresolved, long-term stress, is a primary contributor to psychological and biological illness.
A wellness protocol may be recommended that will include Homeopathy, nutritional supplements, dietary changes, flower essences, lifestyle changes and exercise.
This type of testing is fairly new to the United States, although EAV testing has been used extensively in Europe and Eastern countries for decades. It is only in the last few years of the computer revolution that meridian testing has become fast and accurate enough to be utilized by many trained and qualified practitioners.
Cost of testing includes pre and post consultation to review the results and recommendations.
