I have fond memories of my dad cooking the best sweet and sour porc ribs. They were so delicious and tender. But now that I understand why porc is a forbidden food, I thought I would try my hand at a healthier version of my dad’s recipe. Although grass fed beef has some nutritional benefits to it, if you are on a healing journey, you should not eat it more than once or twice per month. Since this is a slow cooking recipe, you can start it in the early afternoon and forget about it shortly before dinner time. Bon Appétit!
Place the short grass fed beef ribs in a large casserole dish. Sprinkle with crushed garlic and salt. Cover and place in oven at 275 F for about 4 hours.
About 30 minutes before dinner, pour this easy BBQ sauce over the ribs:
In a measuring cup, whisk the following ingredients:
1 cup of organic ketchup
4 Tbsp. raw apple cider vinegar
4 Tbsp. Bragg’s Liquid Aminos (This is a natural soy sauce)
3 Tbsp. fresh squeezed lemon juice
1 tsp dry mustard
1 tsp. organic garlic powder
Cover and place back in the oven for another 30-45 minutes. Serve with a salad or sautéed veggies. Enjoy!
