Crunchy Broccoli Salad

Broccoli is part of the cruciferous family and contains phyto-chemicals such as Indole and Isothiocyanates that have anti- cancer properties.  The specific anti-oxidants and minerals in Broccoli make it an effective blood cleanser and detoxifier.  You can be very creative with this salad by adding any kind of nut, cranberry, raisin or other chopped vegetables. Prepare with or without the turkey bacon. Either way, it is a filling and quick addition to any meal. Bon Appétit!

Chop 2 heads of Broccoli into small flowerets and place into medium size bowl

Add the flowing to the bowl:

½ chopped onion or ½ cup chopped green onion

1 cup sunflower seeds or chopped pecans or almonds

1 cup cranberries or raisins

Cook 1 package of organic turkey bacon. Let cook and chop into small pieces. Add to broccoli mixture.

Dressing:

1 cup grapeseed oil mayo

2 Tbs. raw apple cider vinegar

Sprinkle stevia to taste, if desired

Add various spices such dill, basil, garlic, etc…whatever your favorite spices are.

Whisk until well blended and pour over the broccoli mixture. Mix gently. Serve cold. Enjoy!
