The flavor of Barbeque sauce on grilled meat or veggies is part of the southern tradition. But I often found that the sauces were too sweet, too salty, or just did not have that perfect tangy taste. I played with a few recipes and created one that is my favorite. You can whip it up in a few minutes and serve it hot with your favorite grilling recipes or cold as a dipping sauce. Bon Appétit!
1 cup of organic ketchup
4 Tbsp. raw apple cider vinegar
4 Tbsp. Bragg’s Liquid Aminos (This is a natural soy sauce)
3 Tbsp. fresh-squeezed lemon juice
1 tsp dry mustard
1 tsp. organic garlic powder
4 Tsp. Xylitol
Pinch of salt to taste
Whisk all together until a smooth consistency. Makes enough to marinate, add while grilling, and extra for dipping.
