
Green juices are a great way to start out your day. These super foods are loaded with vitamins, minerals and protein. Kale is part of the Brassica family that includes cruciferous vegetables like broccoli and cabbage. Kale is high in vitamins A, C, K and minerals such as copper, manganese, potassium and iron. The fiber in kale binds bile acids and helps to lower the “bad” cholesterol. Enjoy this drink anytime during the day as a “pick-me-up”. I enjoy it in the morning because the lemon gets those digestive juices flowing. Bon Appétit!

Prepare the following for your juicer:
1 lemon, cut in 4
4 celery stalks
4 large kale leaves
2 large Chard leaves
1 green apple, cut in 8
Juice and enjoy.

I put mine in a Vitamix blender, as I don’t have a juicer. Do you recommend straining it out? I usually drink it all up.
