This Matcha Ginger Aide is the perfect light and refreshing afternoon pick-me-up. It gently gives you a boost of energy while supercharging your body with EGCGs, appropriately coined “Tumor Terminators”. Please sip and read this blog post [1] to learn the factual reasons matcha was critical during my healing journeys and why I drink it daily for maintenance.
The ginger reduces inflammation and increases serotonin and dopamine levels (your happiness hormones). The phrase “afternoon delight” takes on a very literal meaning after a few sips of my Matcha Ginger Aide 😉
Cheers!
Side note: I ONLY drink Superfood Science Matcha Tea powder [2] because it is organic and does NOT include horrible artificial preservatives, flavors, or fillers. Other brands could be filled with sugar, lead, and other dangerous additives.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup filtered water (or more depending on your cup size)
- 1-2 tsp of your favorite Matcha Powder
- 2 inches ginger, peeled
- A few drops of stevia to taste
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Sparkly water to top off
- Ice
Directions:
- In a blender combine your ginger, stevia, lemon juice, and 1/2 cup of filtered water. Blend until ginger is blended up
- In your desired cup, filter out using a fine mesh strainer the blended ginger and lemon mixture so as to filter out any ginger chunks remaining
- In a separate cup mix your matcha and the other 1/2 cup of water as you normally would, until the matcha is very well mixed in
- Put some ice cups in the cup with your ginger & lemon mixture and pour matcha over the top
- Top off with some sparkly water (filtered and clean water- like from a soda stream) and enjoy!
