Three Ways to Get to the Root of Your Subconscious Beliefs

You may be healing from Breast Cancer or wanting to prevent it. You may have just started on the Healthy Breast path or maybe you are a seasoned “Healing Diva.” Wherever you are on the journey, somewhere along the way you will inevitably get to the point when you are ready to tackle those underlying belief systems, patterns, and even traumas that are blocking you from true health. Remember that out of all the thoughts we think, only 5% of them are conscious. Ninety-five percent are “subconscious programs” that run in the background. These are the thoughts that ultimately wind up running our lives, so let’s make sure they are healthy ones!

EVOX

You may be wondering how addressing subconscious beliefs is even relevant to healing and preventing Breast Cancer.

Here are the undisputed facts. Negative thought patterns, unresolved emotions, and unhealed traumas can and do lead to chronic disease, especially cancer. Just one of the many studies that prove this is a recent investigation by researchers at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health [1]. They showed that women who experience “six or more symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) at some point in life had a twofold greater risk of developing ovarian cancer compared with women who never had any PTSD symptoms.”

The process of “Healing Your Emotional Wounds” is vital to the Healthy Breast journey. That is why it is the topic of Essential #4 in the 7 Essentials System® [2]

It is also why a new modality called EVOX [3] has proven to be so helpful for those on a Healthy Breast journey. EVOX has been phenomenal on my own journey and in the lives of many other people.

I found the EVOX sessions to be very relaxing yet very powerful in uncovering layers of subconscious negative patterns and wounds. Your voice has unique properties and frequencies that can be measured by his device.

If you often find yourself in that familiar cycle of negative self-talk (and who doesn’t at one point or another?), then EVOX may be especially helpful for you. Basically, EVOX is an “energy medicine” modality and a fairly new technology. It uses the basic concepts of biofeedback, yet in a totally unique way. Biofeedback in general has been shown to help with many emotional and mood disorders, including anxiety/depression [4], PTSD [5], and even insomnia.

EVOX helps to change perceptions and works from the foundation that our thoughts, both conscious and subconscious, directly affect the body’s healing ability. The technology uses a concept called “perceptual re-framing” that is based on your own voice. Interestingly, each of us carries a unique vocal frequency associated with a stress response. EVOX picks up on this frequency to generate “clues” that reflect beliefs about particular memories and beliefs. The EVOX software then plots these fluctuations on a graph and sends electrical impulses based on them. A participant experiences these impulses through a hand cradle while listening to specific music with imbedded frequencies. Experts state [6] that PTSD, ADD, and ADHD are just a few of the common mental conditions that may be supported with the help of EVOX.

During my second healing journey, I had a series of  EVOX sessions with  a talented local practitioner, Eileen Wrobleski, ND [7]. I felt like I made some major emotional breakthroughs while using EVOX.

Dr. Eileen will be one of many featured speakers at this year’s Heal Your Heart Virtual Healing Diva Retreat which will take place on Saturday, January 16th, 2021. This year’s conference will be all about Healing Our Emotional Wounds and getting to the bottom of our subconscious beliefs.  Stay tuned for announcements about the Heal Your Heart Virtual Healing Diva Retreat.

Discovering the Brain-Gut Connection

Did you know that what you eat can affect your ability to make good choices in life, including food choices?

The fact is that what we eat affects not only our physical body but also our psychology as well.

Join us for a delightful conversation about food, mood and everything in between. Dr. Uma Naidoo is a pioneer in the newly emerging field of nutritional psychiatry. This Breast Cancer Conqueror Wellness Warrior Podcast is not to be missed!

“When we go to talk to our doctors, we have a conversation about a family history of diabetes,” explains says nutritional psychiatrist Dr. Uma Naidoo. “We have a conversation about how ‘I gained weight after the holidays’ or ‘what about my cholesterol?’ But we are not talking about the gut’s connection to the brain. That is where emerging evidence really fills in the gap.”

New research has really begun to dive into the nutritional connections to our emotional states, to cognition, and even to serious, diagnosed mood disorders. This emerging field focuses on what is known as the gut-brain connection [9].

“The gut and brain cells emanate from the same cells in the embryo,” says Dr. Naidoo. “They are connected together throughout life through the Vagus nerve, the longest nerve in the body.”

Dr. Naidoo, who is also a culinary chef and the best-selling author of the book This is Your Brain on Food [10], is fast becoming one of the visionary experts in the new field of nutritional psychiatry. I recently had the immense honor of interviewing Dr. Naidoo on the topic for the Breast Cancer Conqueror podcast [8]. Our conversation is rich with information on how certain foods can influence how we think and how we feel. Be sure to check out that highly informative interview HERE [8]!

EFT – The Tried and True Method

I recently wrote [11] about using this very simple method to help calm the stress we may feel this time of year or anytime. For basic information about EFT, or tapping, be sure to check out my latest article on the topic HERE [11].

There is another, more profound benefit from practicing EFT, however. Research indicates that the Emotional Freedom Technique can also significantly help with the deepest emotional wounds.

One of the most impressive studies to prove this was a randomized, controlled trial [12] published in 2013 in the Journal of Nervous and Mental Disease. Led by EFT pioneer Dawson Church [13], a research team from the Foundation for Epigenetic Research [14] (a research arm of the National Institutes of Health) offered military veterans suffering from PTSD a 6-hour training in EFT. They then gave them instructions on how to continue doing EFT at home. One month after completing the training, 90% of the vets no longer met the standard definition and criteria for PTSD. After 6 months, a whopping 80% of the participants who continued to practice EFT still no longer met the criteria.

In January of this year, I led a very special “30 Day Tapping Challenge [15]” that was highly effective and also very inspirational for many Healing Divas! I encourage you to “take up the challenge” [15] this year as well!

Start 2021 the healthy way by conquering the subconscious beliefs, unhealed traumas, and unbalanced emotions that may be holding you back. You CAN do this through right eating, simple modalities like EFT, and in-depth tools such as EVOX. All three are beneficial tools you can have to support you on your healing journey.
