7 Ways to Make Conventional Breast Cancer Treatment Easier

7 natural breast cancer practices

In this blog, I share 7 natural breast cancer practices to make your surgery, chemotherapy, and/or radiation easier and more effective. Although many women begin their journey with the hope and idea that their journey will be totally unconventional, it may not always turn out that way. And that’s OK. Sometimes the temporary use of conventional treatments may help slow down aggressive growth. On the other hand, some women choose to use 100% conventional medicine knowing that there will be many unpleasant side-effects. Whatever path you have chosen, it is great to know that there are proven strategies that can support your healing. There is no guilt here. Whatever your choice of treatment, we are here to support you.

My registered 7 Essentials System® has led me and countless other women to victory over Breast Cancer. You can discover the actionable and practical details of natural breast cancer practices in the 7 Essentials System via my book, Heal Breast Cancer Naturally.  [1]

Your healing journey doesn’t have to be only conventional or natural

For example, after years of only natural treatments, taking an integrative approach that included chemo saved our client Tara Coyote’s life. Listen to her amazing story on our podcast. [2] Below, I will share 7 natural breast cancer practices to make conventional breast cancer treatment (surgery, chemotherapy, and/or radiation) easier and more effective. However, always talk to your medical team before trying anything new. If you are interested in adding to your medical team, please look into working with me and the team via private coaching. [3]

Natural Health Practices for Breast Cancer

7 natural breast cancer practices during treatments

Gut Health (Let food be thy medicine).

Fermented foods, such as sauerkraut, kefir, and kimchi, can boost your gut’s beneficial bacteria, leading to better immunity. Keeping your immune system in tip-top shape is critical! Another way to do this is by taking probiotics such as my higher dose, dairy-free Probiotic Support. [4] Probiotic technology has greatly been enhanced in recent years; read more about how probiotics can support healing from cancer here. [5]

Brocco Power. [6] Thousands of research articles show that Sulforaphane, from broccoli sprouts, stops the spread of cancer cells, kills breast cancer stem cells, and increases the production of glutathione in your cells.

Curcumin. [7] When it comes to healing and preventing cancer, reducing inflammation is priority #1! Curcumin, a molecular substance found in the Indian herb turmeric, is one of the most powerful substances in reducing inflammation and killing off breast cancer cells. It can also support the relief of depression and joint pain; both are side effects that we want to mitigate as we go through breast cancer treatments. My Optimum Curcumin [7] is a bioavailable curcuminoid product that combines three different kinds of curcumin, turmeric oil, vitamin E, and MCT oil.

Vitamin D+K [8]. It is important to keep your Vitamin D levels between 80-100 ng/mL. While I always suggest playing in the sunshine for a mood boost, that alone won’t give you the level of vitamin D you need. Make sure not to guess or stress––but actually know your levels with this test. [9] I live in sunny Florida, and I still have to supplement with 12,000 IU of Emulsified Vitamin D every day in order to stay within my therapeutic range. Lastly, remember to always supplement with Vitamin K when you take Vitamin D on its own.

Detox (Reduce your toxic exposure).

Especially during intense treatments like chemo and radiation, getting rid of toxins, heavy metals, and toxic drug residues is essential. Here are some ways to keep the good and toss out the bad!

Coffee enemas stimulate the liver detoxification process and increase glutathione production, which is your body’s natural detox. Pour a cup of joe and read more about it here. [10] After years of doing enemas as well as counseling others on the procedure, the coffee that I recommend hands down is from SA Wilson. [11] It really is a blond coffee that is loaded with phytonutrients to assist in the detoxification process.

This Metal Detox [12] contains a wide array of ingredients, which work together to reduce the initial absorption of metals into the tissues and organs, pull them out more effectively, and help to decrease their reabsorption through enterohepatic recirculation.

Chiropractic Care (Balance Energy).

People under Chiropractic Care have a 300% greater immune competence. Recent studies have proven that an imbalanced Nerve System will stimulate the growth of cancer. It can also help with relieving neuropathy pain and enhance your overall breast cancer-free journey [13]. There are various types of chiropractic practices, and here are some websites to learn more and find someone in your area. Max Living, [14] Brimhall Wellness, [15] and Activator. [16]

Emotional Health and Cancer Connection (Heal Your Emotional Wounds). [17]

This can look different for every single person battling cancer or just going through the game of life.how to meditate [18] We all have gone through trauma and stressful experiences. Emotional wounds are directly connected to physical health. Even in the 1950s, the American Cancer Society acknowledged the direct link between emotional stress [17]and the development of cancer. Thus, you can’t achieve true physical health if your mental and emotional health are still sick. For example, have you ever felt stressed out about something, and you noticed that your neck muscles or jaw felt really tight? That is an example of your “e-motions” or “energy in motion” getting stuck. To start doing the emotional work, try creating a daily meditation practice [19] and listen to a podcast episode with Dr. Lise Janelle [20], a renowned inner game coach and Founder of the Centre for Heart Living.

Sleep.

Getting a good night’s sleep can be more challenging as we age. Tack on the physical and emotional side effects of battling cancer and going through intense treatments and quality shut-eye may just get shut out. According to David Blask, M.D., Ph.D., “Nighttime Melatonin is a relevant anticancer signal to human Breast Cancers. Ninety percent of human Breast Cancers have specific receptors for this signal.” Sleep is essential, so I have some amazing supplements in my shop [21]to help sprinkle natural sleepy dust so that your body can restore and heal!

Included is Melatonin [22]. Melatonin is a cytotoxic hormone produced by the pineal gland and is mainly known for helping you fall asleep more easily. However, dozens of studies have confirmed that maintaining adequate levels of melatonin can directly inhibit breast cancer development and growth. Melatonin regulates levels of estrogen and has epigenetic (cancer-correcting) properties. It also provides antioxidants that help boost your immune system.

Pre-Treatment Tips.

To mitigate negative side effects and make your procedures as effective as possible, here are a few suggestions:

Before Each Chemotherapy Infusion

Ginger extract is a “super spice” and is one of the healthiest foods on the planet! It contains 6-shogaol, a chemical that targets and kills cancer stem cells [23]. I suggest starting to take it 3 days before treatment to help prevent nausea. However, ginger is wonderful for anyone to take at any time! Learn about all of the incredible benefits of this incredible spice here. [24]

Fasting. Studies [25] have shown that a fasting-like diet turns the immune system against cancer. Before each infusion, a 2-day water-only fast is optimal. However, if that is not possible, consider the Fasting Mimicking Diet [26]. Learn all about it here. [27] Lastly, a 1-day fast that includes lemon juice, herbal teas, and bone broth, can still be beneficial.

To Reduce Pre-Surgery Stress

There are many Bach Flower Remedies that will help you balance emotions and decrease your tension. Rescue Remedy is a great place to start.

Emotional Freedom Technique. Learn more about this via tappingsolutionfoundation.org or visit my YouTube channel [28] to participate in our 30-day tapping challenge [28]

Guided meditation. Check out their Successful Surgery and Fight Cancer [30]meditations.

For Support During Radiation

Aloe Vera is a great topical gel to relieve burning or irritation to the skin. Additionally, oral ingestion can also improve wound healing and nausea.

Hydrate! Consider drinking half of your body weight in ounces per day.

Healing breast cancer can be overwhelming and exhausting, but you are not alone. To give you hope and motivation, right now, read some of the success stories [31] of women just like you who were able to create vibrant health.

Lastly, I’ll close with the words of singer and songwriter, Usher! “Success is about dedication. You may not be where you want to be or do what you want to do when you’re on the journey. But you’ve got to be willing to have vision and foresight that leads you to an incredible end.”
