We have all experienced it. A Lightning-Fast History of Ozone
Ozone has obviously been around since the dawn of time, and healers and scientists have been using it for practical methods since the mid-1800s. For example, in 1856, surgeons used ozone to sterilize surgical instruments. A few decades later, Europe used it to disinfect bacteria and viruses from drinking water. However, it did not become truly famous until Nikola Tesla (after the car company was named as a tribute to inventing alternating current) patented the first ozone generator and sold it to pharmacies under the same Glycozone.
As time went on, more research and accessibility birthed new use cases. Dr. Albert Wolff used it to treat colon and cervical cancer in the early 1900s, and many military nurses used it for infected wounds in WWI.
