A Face of Hope with Shari Hall Smith

Shari Hall Smith

Before there were pink ribbons or internet searches, Shari Hall Smith was her own health advocate.  She was researching options and creating conversations that had only been held private among breast cancer survivors.  She is one of the founding members of the Breast Cancer Coalition signature campaign, meeting the Clinton Administration in 1993 to create a National Action Plan on Breast Cancer.  Shari also created the charity, Faces Of Hope an award-winning traveling photo exhibit of breast cancer thrivers, and the original website to connect those with breast cancer based on personal and medical criteria for support.

Shari has been thriving for 28 years since her original diagnosis in 1992 at the age of 36. In 2014 cancer returned and metastasized.  With no cure, she found her way to Germany for alternative cancer treatment. She has utilized all the healing opportunities that Western, Eastern and holistic medicine had to offer.  She shares with us her story and words of encouragement for others on a similar journey.
