Cheesy Cauliflower Nuggets

This fun and nostalgic cauliflower nuggets recipe brings me back to being a kid eating chicken nuggets while positively reminding me I’m an adult who makes healthy and delicious decisions!

Cauliflower is blossoming with fiber, B vitamins, antioxidants, and phytonutrients that can protect against cancer. The nutritional yeast adds a crispy and cheesy texture, and the spices make each bite scrumptious.

  • 1 large head of cauliflower chopped into florets
  • 3 TBSP (or more) of avocado oil
  • 3 TBSP nutritional yeast
  • 1/2 tsp salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder


  • Preheat oven to 415 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Add raw cauliflower to a large bowl and add in oil, nutritional yeast and spices
  • Mix to coat cauliflower well, adding more oil if seems too dry
  • Spread the cauliflower mixture on a sheet pan with parchment paper and bake for 30-40 minutes until golden brown
  • Sprinkle with extra salt or nutritional yeast to taste and enjoy!
