Garlic is another main ingredient because it adds a warm and delectable taste—and is one of nature’s best immune system boosters. So dig in and strengthen your body from top to bottom.

Ingredients:

For the Garlic Meatballs:

  • 1lb ground grass-fed beef
  • 1 tbsp basil, chopped
  • 1 tsp thyme, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1/2 small yellow onion, chopped
  • 1.5 tsp Himalayan sea salt
  • Basil to garnish

For the Garlic BBQ Sauce:

  • 2 tbsp avocado oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup coconut aminos
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1tbsp arrowroot powder + 2tbsp water

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper
  • In a large bowl combine beef with herbs, garlic, onion, and salt
  • With your hands mix and form meatballs about 1.5 inches wide
  • Place meatballs onto parchment paper
  • Bake for 11 minutes
  • While meatballs are baking make your sauce by heating a skillet and sautéing garlic until fragrant
  • Add coconut aminos and balsamic vinegar to the skillet and mix well, allow to come to a boil
  • Make arrowroot slurry by mixing water and arrowroot powder and add to the skillet to thicken the sauce. Allow to simmer to continue thickening
  • Once the meatballs are done add them to the simmering sauce, and mix to coat the meatballs
  • Garnish with basil and enjoy!
