Raw Pumpkin Seed Hummus
Raw foods make for a great nutrient dense snack. This hummus is loaded with powerful nutrients containing; phytonutrients, antioxidants, Omega 3- fatty acids, plant protein, fiber, zinc, iron, and other essential vitamins and minerals. Pumpkin seeds have been shown to improve diabetes, heart and liver health, and hormonal balance for both men and women.
You can enjoy this hummus with your favorite vegetable or favorite grain free crackers. Bon Appétit!
1 can (BPA Free) Garbanzo Beans, or 15 ounce raw garbanzo beans soaked overnight
¼ Cup Raw Pumpkin seeds
3 Medium Garlic cloves, smashed
1 large lemon, juice
1/3 cup olive oil
4 tbsp Tahini
Himalayan sea salt
Fresh Cracked Pepper
2 tbsp filtered water, optional
I topped my hummus with a little Hemp Oil for extra Omega 3-fatty acids.
Enjoy right away, or store in the refrigerator for 5-7 days.
