Looking for a basic grain-free flatbread crust?! Try this out. It is easy to make with just a few simple ingredients. This flatbread is grain-free and low carb. You can make it as a pizza crust, flatbread, or calzone. Because it is made with almond flour, it is loaded with minerals and fiber.
Ingredients:
2 Cups Blanched almond flour
1/8 cup tapioca flour
½ tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 organic egg
3-4 tbsp cold water
Directions:
Mix both the flours with the baking soda and baking powder (this will help it rise like dough) Next mix in the egg and cold water.
Form a ball and place it in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.
Transfer to parchment paper and flatten with your fingers about ¼-1/2 in thick. (it may be a little sticky that’s ok). Place your toppings on the crust. I gently fold the crust over with the parchment paper to make a ‘calzone’
Bake at 415 degrees for about 12-15 minutes until the top is slightly golden.
