Should You Consider a Parasite Cleanse?

The Centers for Disease Control states that “millions of Americans” have parasites within them. This means that odds are, you do to. Gross, I know. But before you click off this article, take a minute to consider this. Those unwelcome guests may be raising your risk of Breast Cancer. There is a way to potentially get rid of the little buggers with a parasite cleanse. And research now supports the idea that doing a cleanse during the full moon may be the most effective way to go about it.

I know it sounds gross, but do I have your attention? Good! Read on to learn more!

Parasites in Your Body

How do parasites, i.e. worms, get inside us in the first place? Parasites are transferred mainly through fecal matter and enter the body through the skin or mouth. They are highly contagious. Often when one member of a household has parasites, every member is infected as well.

Even though you may take extra care to practice adequate sanitation, unless you live in a bubble, you are going to be exposed to others who do not. Here are just a few ways you may become infected:

-not washing your hands;

-eating contaminated meat, especially pork;

-eating raw vegetables and fruits:

-walking outside in bare feet;

-being in contact with pets;

-being in contact with children;

-eating at restaurants;

-being in contact with people who don’t wash their hands.

…and the list goes on.

Signs That You May Have a Parasite

Parasites take up residence in your body and feed on the nutrients you take in. They will consume “macronutrients” like protein as well as essential vitamins and minerals.

The main goal of a parasite is to survive and multiply. The weaker your immune system, the more you can accomplish this goal. Even though most people have parasites living inside them, the impact on your health depends on how many you have, the type you have, and how long you have been there. Here are the signs that one or more of the most common parasites, such as tape worm, hook worm or giardia,  may be affecting you:

-yeast infections

Helminths on Small intestine. Ascaris and Pinworms. Ascaris lumbricoides

-digestive problems

-headache

-food sensitives

-carb and sugar cravings

-mood swings

-skin infections

-anemia

-anxiety

-bleeding gums

-fatigue

-cognitive issues

-itchy rectum

When parasites take up residence in your body for a long time, the consequences can be dire. In fact, a 2000 study conducted by researchers at the National University of Mexico found that prolonged infection by flukes or tapeworms, may “increase the frequency of DNA damage” and raise your risk of certain cancers.

Why the Full Moon Parasite Cleanse?

All living beings are affected by the cycles that exist on and around the planet. The ocean tides are affected by lunar activity. Your biological and chemical activity is affected by the lunar cycle as well, and so is parasitic activity.

Studies such as a 2006 Polish investigation have found that electromagnetic radiation put out during a full moon and/or the gravitational pull of the full moon itself can plunge melatonin in mammals to their lowest levels during this time.

You may recall that melatonin is a key player not only for sleep and reproductive health but for immunity as well. When melatonin is low  parasites are most active and tend to “come out of hiding.”  Increased serotonin levels during this time also allow parasites to move around more freely. This means that a few days before, during, and after the full moon are the perfect times to do a parasite cleanse.

Parasite Cleansing on the Full Moon: How to Do It

There are dozens of herbs that can help you with your cleanse, including Mimosa pudica seed, black walnut seed, oregano oil, garlic, turmeric root, clove, and thyme. Most of these herbs can be ingested and most can be introduced into your daily routine gradually. Others, such as garlic or turmeric, can also be used in an enema.

To do a Parasite Cleanse during the full moon, simply start the protocols a week before the full moon and continue until you have finished one round, Be sure to give your liver lots of support through coffee enemas (garlic enemas are especially helpful at this time). Once you have killed off those nasty bugs, you want to move them out of your system as soon as possible! Don’t be shocked or scared by what you see in your poop. Better to have them out than in! Our Healing Diva Private FB group had a few laughs about this last month when we did the parasite cleanse as a group.
