Grain-Free Porridge

Are you on a grain-free healing journey and miss the warm or cold oatmeal for breakfast? Well, no need to miss it anymore with this grain-free healthy option that is made with super seeds; chia, flax, and hemp seeds.  These seeds are a great source of soluble fiber, antioxidants, and healthy fats. This porridge is low carb but high in healthy fats. It is made with full-fat coconut milk. Coconuts are one of the best sources of lauric acid, which is a protective type of fatty acid that makes up 50% of the fatty acids in coconut. Lauric acid can improve cholesterol levels, heart health, and thyroid health.  Bon Appétit!

Serving: 1


1 cup of organic coconut milk, full fat

1 tbsp chia seeds

1 tbsp flax seeds

1 tbsp hemp seeds

1 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp vanilla extract, optional

1 scoop collagen powder, optional

Splash of stevia glycerite or sweetener of choice


Mix all the ingredients (except for collagen if using.) into a small saucepan. Cook over low to medium heat for 5-7 minutes until the mixture becomes thick and oatmeal like. Add the collagen powder now, if using. Top with nuts, nut butter, unsweetened yogurt, coconut cream, and, or berries.
