How To Relax and Heal with Castor Oil

Welcome to Dr. V’s Healthy Breast Spa. Inhaalleee–exhhaalleee ahhhh. Make a cup of healing tea and step into your wellness castle. Below are the spa therapies offered today (and every day in your home): castor oil, coconut oil pulling, essential oils, and dry brushing. These therapies are not only relaxing but may also help with circulation and lymphatic drainage, balance hormones, reduce inflammation, moisturize dry breast skin, detox, and oh so much more. You can also do oil pulling, dry brushing, and use essential oils while doing a castor oil pack.

Castor Oil

It’s an ancient self-care practice that is now backed by modern science. For example, please review this study on anti-viral properties and this study on pharmacological activities. Castor oil is a thick and sticky oil extract from the bean of the tropical flowering shrub, Ricinus communis. The active ingredient (about 85-90%) in castor oil is a fatty acid, ricinoleic acid. It provides antioxidant, anti-microbial, anti-viral, anti-inflammatory, wound-healing, and anti-nociceptive effects.

A Short List Of Castor Oil Uses

  • Relieve constipation and stomach aches
  • Natural laxative
  • Blood flow and circulation
  • Reduce colds and fevers
  • Induce labor (If you are pregnant, do NOT use until ready to go into labor.)
  • Wound dressing
  • Ingredient in cosmetics and personal care products
  • Liver detox
  • Lymphatic drainage
  • Colon Cleansing
  • Hormone balancing
  • Inflammation reducing
  • Relieve pain
  • Keeps skin young/anti-aging support
  • Relaxation and feel-good hormone activation

Castor oil works best when prepared in a pack and wrapped around the area you want to heal. However, creating your pack can be messy, sticky, and time-consuming. This is why I was thrilled to discover Dr. Marisol’s Queen of the Thrones® Castor Oil and Packs. She even has a healthy breast pack! I’m a huge fan of her products, so she kindly gave our community a 10% off code for orders over $59: BREAST_CANCER_CONQUEROR10

Her packs feel like a warm hug that curves to fit you just right. The gentle compression of the pack and Castor Oil on your skin may also help promote your feel-good hormones, oxytocin, and dopamine, which instantly help you feel calm and relaxed.

Castor Oil Q&A

Below are some of the most common questions I get around Breast Castor Oil Packs.

  1. Q: Is it safe to put castor oil directly on my breast? A: It is safe and provides endless healthy breast benefits such as lymphatic drainage.
  2. Q: How often should I do a castor oil pack? A: I recommend at least an 1 hour a day and replacing the pack about every 2 months.
  3. Q: How do I use the castor oil pack? A: First, gently massage your breasts with castor oil. Then, place the pack on your breasts for 1 hour. Using the elastic button, you can easily secure it with a bra.
  4. Q: Where else can I use castor oil? A: Castor Oil provides countless uses, which is why Queen Of Thrones offers several different types of packs. I also love using castor oil for dry skin, puffiness, and aging spots, and as an all-around anti-aging treatment.
  5. Q: I have heard that castor oil helps with constipation. Is that true? A: Yes, relieving constipation is one of the most common uses of castor oil. If you are all stuffed up, do not take toxic laxatives. Instead, use a Liver Castor Oil Pack. It may help balance inflammation in the gut and support smooth muscle function for better digestion, absorption, and elimination- AKA easy, enjoyable pooping.

Oil Pulling

About 90% of the women I have supported in the last 40+ years have had one common issue: dental toxicities causing adverse effects on their health. This is because “Compared with healthy individuals, patients diagnosed with cancer had higher transmission rates of bacteria from the oral cavity to the gut.” Learn more about the link between disease and oral-gut (AKA your immune system) transmission via this study.

Oil pulling is an easy-at-home therapy to cleanse your mouth and detoxify your body. You just swish approximately 1-2 teaspoons of oil in your mouth. Organic coconut or sesame oils are best because of their anti-bacterial properties. Its name accurately describes what is going on: the movement of the oil allows this natural substance to “pull” harmful microorganisms out of deep pockets between teeth and gums. The particular chemical makeup of the oil binds toxins to it without harming teeth or gums.

I swish the oil for 10-15 minutes, 3-4 days a week. After swishing, pushing, and pulling the oil around your teeth, rinse your mouth with warm water and brush your teeth. This is critical to remember: NEVER swallow the oil!! Since it just pulled out your toxins, swallowing will send them throughout your body. Always spit the oil out into a trash can.

Many people notice improvements in their oral health right away. Gums heal, loose teeth tighten, and teeth naturally whiten. Please take a moment to learn all about oil pulling via this blog post.

Essential Oils

Essential oils have countless uses, from healing insomnia to cleaning your dishes and even building strong teeth. However, since I don’t want this blog post to be 100 pages long, I am going to provide a list of resources to review.

how to dry brush

Dry Brushing

Dry brushing is a quick, relaxing, and easy breast cancer therapy you can do at home. It supports your lymphatic, nervous, and immune systems while providing a relaxing and invigorating self-care therapy.

Dry brushing has certainly received some strokes of popularity lately. However, almost all historical civilizations, including Egyptians, Indians, Greeks, Romans, Native Americans, and Chinese, documented dry brushing for health and beauty. So it’s definitely worth trying! Please review this blog post to follow my step-by-step dry brushing routine.

Instead of a gloom and doom attitude, take this time to cherish, connect, and deeply love yourself. Nurture and restore. Heal and explore. Enjoy spa days—every day.
