Everybody is talking about what is perhaps the cheapest and most effective health tonic out: apple cider vinegar (aka ACV). Here is the 411 on ACV, and how best to use it on your Healthy Breast journey.
What is ACV?
Apple Cider Vinegar is fermented from various kinds of apples. The fermentation process takes out most of the sugar and calories while at the same time it inoculates the liquid with probiotics and enzymes. Even though it is surprisingly high-acid in nature, it is extremely beneficial to your health.
The end product is loaded with good bacteria and other phytonutrients which make it a must-have for longevity.
Apple Cider Vinegar Disease-Fighting Benefits
Here is just a sampling of how ACV can help YOU prevent breast cancer:
#1 Detoxification. As most of us know, in today’s world we can’t help but be exposed to toxins. Drinking a small amount of apple cider vinegar every day can help break up mucous, flush the liver and assist with lymphatic drainage. It can also be a real help for those who experience chronic constipation. Apple cider vinegar has also been known to increase the AMPK enzyme in the body, which can increase the rate of fat oxidation while at the same time decrease the rapidity of fat manufacturing in the liver. This can help with weight loss as well.
#2 Digestive Health. ACV can lessen acid reflux. This may seem strange since ACV is acidic. When it enters into the digestive system, however, it turns alkaline, which helps to balance stomach acids. Apple pectin fiber found in raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar can also cut candida and soothe the gastro-intestinal tract. This can help prevent bloating, gas and cramping. It also has the ability to balance gut flora and strengthen the gut barrier, according to a 2016 study.
#3 Balancing pH. The body must maintain a pH of around 7.4 for optimum health. In fact, studies have shown that tissues surrounding cancer tumors have a slightly lower pH than healthy tissue. Every food choice you make, as well as lifestyle factors such as stress, will affect your blood pH levels for the better or for the worse.
When the body becomes too acidic, this is when disease can set in. Remember that cancer thrives in an acidic environment, according to the ground-breaking research of Dr. Otto Warburg. ACV may help stabilize pH levels.
#4 Helps Balance Blood Sugar Levels. A study conducted by the University of Milan found that consuming apple cider vinegar after eating white bread helped to decrease blood sugar levels by roughly 31 percent. Other in vivo studies found that apple cider vinegar protocols helped to reduce blood sugar levels in general after one month. Apple cider vinegar may also increase insulin sensitivity, which can help bring insulin levels down and curb the effects of diabetes.
#5 Cancer Protective. Here is where the rubber meets the road when it comes to cancer prevention. While all of the above benefits will also help to prevent cancer by boosting the immune system, the digestive system and the general health of the body, studies have also found that vinegars in general can have an anti-tumor effect as well.
More ACV Benefits
These four benefits of apple cider vinegar are just the tip of the iceberg. Others benefits may include:
-help with allergies
-balance cholesterol levels
-help with asthma
-dissolving kidney stones
-clearing up fungal infections
How to Take Apple Cider Vinegar
Many people today make Apple Cider Vinegar a part of their morning routine, but its benefits have actually been known for centuries. Its use in China dates back 3,000 years and even the Bible mentions how using it to help boost energy levels.
Make sure that you use only organic, raw apple cider vinegar since other kinds of vinegar will remain acidic in your body. Also, when you first start out with ACV, start slow. Try just a half of a teaspoon in some water to begin with and gradually increase it to one to three tablespoons a day. Be sure to not take it straight, since it can have a strong taste and also have a negative effect on tooth enamel.
Try this detoxifying ACV drink on a daily basis. You can try this first thing in the morning or on an empty stomach.
1 organic lemon
1 ounce Raw Apple Cider Vinegar

If you need to, sweeten with a bit of stevia
Chop up the lemon and add the remaining ingredients.
