Even if you have been on a Healthy Breast Journey for a while, it is good to remind yourself about the simple things you can do to prevent Breast Cancer and Breast Cancer re-occurrence. These FIVE SIMPLE ACTIONS are simple yet powerful!
The 5 MUST DO’s for Breast Cancer Prevention
#1 Get Early Detection Blood Tests.
The first step in prevention is knowing where you stand. Testing can give you a unique “snapshot” of your health from different angles. Ivy Gene is a great test to give you a baseline feel to see if y ou are actively “cancering” or not. Other key tests you should consider (and keep up on on a regular basis), include thermography as well as blood tests for vitamin D, iodine and estrogen methylation. The key is to be focused with your testing and to work with a natural health professional to understand the results.
#2 Eat for your Health
Broccoli Sprouts are at the top of my list for supporting breast health. Not only do they kill Breast Cancer Stem Cells that are responsible for spread and recurrence, but they also help turn on over 200 positive genetic switches. They support liver detoxification and improve glutathione production.
#3 Lower Stress
Stress is a part of life. Chronic stress, however, does not have to be. Stress is the foundational state for Breast Cancer development. On the other hand, lowering stress responses puts the body into the “relaxation response,” where you want to be for Breast Cancer prevention. Not sure how to get started lowering stress? Start by doing the things you love. Walking, being in nature, stretching, laughing, exercising, doing crafts, swimming, massage, EFT (or tapping), meditation, prayer, gratitude, journaling…these are just some of the things you can do for minutes a day that can help lower stress.
#4 Move Your Body
It is a fact that leading a sedentary lifestyle can have devastating effects on your health. Regular exercise, on the other hand, benefits every system in your body, including digestion and the immune system. It may even increase your lifespan by close to 5 years, according to the National Cancer Institute. Take heart if you don’t like to work up a sweat—reaping the rewards of a workout can be done in a shorter time than you think.
#5 Consider Supportive Supplementation
Some people are under the assumption that they can achieve health and vitality from lifestyle changes and healthy eating alone.
But because we are exposed to foods grown on bad soil and an overabundance of environmental toxins, supplementation is very important.
I recommend zeroing in on some key elements. Phytonutrients, vitamins and minerals can all nourish your body and support it. I am so proud to have worked closely with a certified and clean company that creates products based on science and testing. In my opinion, they are THE BEST in terms of quality and results!
