If you have a pulse, you have parasites. Even though you may take extra care to practice adequate sanitation, unless you live in a bubble, you will be exposed to others who do not. Since breast cancer is an accumulation of many illnesses and weaknesses in the body, parasites can weaken and stress our immune system daily, leading to cancer and other dis-eases.
According to the CDC, far too many Americans have parasites that can lead to cysticercosis, linked to DNA damage and tumor growth. Additionally, parasites have clever ways of “tricking” the immune system. As they grow, they strip us of the vital nutrients that fuel our bodies. This blog goes over the science of doing a full moon parasite cleanse and how to do it. To dig deeper, please read this compelling book about parasites, Guess What Came to Dinner, by Anne Louise Gittleman. I read this book decades ago, and it forever opened my eyes to the prevalence of parasites in our “clean” society.
Signs Of Parasites In Your Body
There are several invisible signs, but here are a few that are noticeable red flags:
Yeast infections, digestive problems, food sensitives, carb and sugar cravings, mood swings, skin infections, anemia, anxiety, bleeding gums, fatigue, cognitive issues, itchy rectum or vulva, abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, bloating, etc.
It’s all about balance. When your microbiome (gut health, AKA immune system) has the right balance of healthy bacteria, it can naturally fight off infections and invaders. However, we live in a toxic world. Therefore, we sometimes need to help our body release harmful invaders—such as parasites—through detoxing and cleansing.
How do we come into contact with parasites? Think of the prevalence of international traveling and the various unclean foods we may be exposed to. What about your fresh produce at the grocery store? it probably was grown in a foreign country, picked by hands of all kinds, and then shuffled from trucks to the grocery store shelf. Unclean and unhealthy hands may have inadvertently shared some unwanted pests. So it is very important that you wash your fresh produce. Some doctors suggest soaking our produce in a weak iodine solution to take care of bacteria and parasite eggs.
Why A Full Moon Parasite Cleanse?
A “full moon cleanse” may sound a little “woo-woo” to some of you. However, as you know, I am a woman of science, studies, and evidence-based medical facts. Here’s why I suggest doing a cleanse during a full moon cycle versus any random time:
- All living beings are affected by the cycles on and around the planet, including the ocean tides influenced by lunar activity.
- Your biological and chemical activity is also affected by the lunar cycle, and so is parasitic activity.
- The energetic effect of a full moon and/or the gravitational pull of the full moon itself can plunge your melatonin to the lowest levels during this time.
- When melatonin is low, parasites are most active and tend to “come out of hiding.”
- Increased serotonin levels during this time also allow parasites to move around more freely and be more active.
- This means that a few days before, during, and after the full moon are the perfect times to do a parasite cleanse!
How To Do A Full Moon Parasite Cleanse.
Simply start the protocols (products and descriptions are listed below) a week before the full moon, and do it for 3, 5, or 7 days, depending on your tolerance. During the cleanse, be sure to give your liver lots of support through coffee and garlic enemas. Make sure you stay well hydrated. To learn more about enemas, please read this blog about a breast cancer thriver’s perspective and this one on why it is a must in our toxic world. You can also learn more about coffee enemas in my book. Once you have killed off those nasty bugs, you want to move them out of your system immediately! Don’t be shocked or scared by what you see in your poop. Better to have them out than in!
I also suggest doing intermittent fasting—restrict your eating period to 6-8 hours a day. For example, only eat between 10 am to 6 pm. To learn more, please review this blog post on intermittent fasting.
Foods and spices to eat during a parasite cleanse
Eating anti-parasitic and anti-fungal foods is a great way to support your parasite cleanse. All of the foods on the list are also essential foods/spices for killing cancer and living a vibrantly healthy life—they are certainly superfoods in my book!
- Ginger—If you don’t like ginger, you can take a supplement.
- Garlic—Here are a few of my favorite garlic-focused recipes.
- Cayenne pepper
- Curcumin—It also reduces breast cancer cells and inflammation.
- Pumpkin seeds
- Oil of Oregano
Foods to avoid during the cleanse
This list of toxic foods should also be avoided or limited throughout the year.
- Artificial sugar—Learn how sugar feeds cancer via this blog post and podcast episode on the sugar impact.
- Dairy—These dairy-free recipes are delicious!
- Ultra-processed foods
- Gluten—Have you tried any of these gluten-free recipes?
- Raw fish and raw meat
High-risk parasitic foods
While you can get parasites from simply existing in our world, these foods should be totally avoided or drastically restricted. Foods with the most parasites include pork (no matter how you cook it) and raw fish. Undercooked fish, crustaceans, mollusks, and unpasteurized cider and milk may also contain parasites.
