The Truth About Non-Toxic Dental Testing & Safe Solutions

non-toxic dental testing

Biological dentistry, including non-toxic dental testing, is so important that I made it Essential #5 of the 7 Essentials System®. Your teeth are an intricate part of your body. They are not separate entities that can be drilled, poked, and stuffed with toxic poisons without impacting the rest of your body.

According to the University Of Columbia School Of Public Health, “95% of all cancer is due to diet and the accumulation of toxins.” Therefore, staying clear of cancer growth and cell-damaging dental-related toxins is critical to preventing and healing cancer. Safe dental work and products must be part of your new, vibrantly healthy lifestyle.

Oral health, non-toxic dental testing, and dental care research still have a long way to go because giant oral care companies could be blocking it. However, we do know a lot of evidence-based insight and a slew of easy solutions you can choose for yourself. Before we uncover non-toxic dental testing options, I want to briefly mention a few other ways to take action for a happier and healthier smile and body.

Safe, Non-Toxic Dental Practices

    • Switch to non-toxic daily dental products. Click HERE to learn about the links to cancer and effective, non-toxic alternatives for toothpaste, dental floss, teeth whitening, etc.
    • Learn from The Meridian Tooth Chart. If you have an infection in your body, it may be mirrored in the corresponding tooth. Click HERE to learn all about your body’s energy highways.
    • Remove dental amalgams. About 90% of my clients have had adverse effects from mercury-filled amalgams, root canals, and cavitations. SAFELY addressing and removing them is an essential part of your breast cancer healing journey. Click HERE to learn more about toxic amalgams and how to detox from the removal here.

Non-Toxic Dental Testing Options

Biological Dentistry

As I mentioned above, about 90% of the women I have supported in the last 40+ years have had one common issue: dental toxicities causing adverse effects on their health. If you genuinely want to heal your body, you MUST address your dental problems, often from toxic metals like mercury and a high bacterial load of pathogeninc bacteria. This is because a direct meridian goes from your mouth to your breast and other organs. Mercury is considered the most toxic element, so even the most minuscule amounts can wreak havoc on your body.

Mercury is also known as a “Metallo-gen”, which means it mimics and stimulates estrogen production in the body.

This is why I’m a massive advocate of only seeing biological or holistic dentists. According to the International Academy of Biological Dentistry & Medicine (IABDM), “A biological dentist understands that the mouth and body are connected and that illness or disease that occurs inside the body is reflected orally and vice versa.” They are trained to understand how factors like stress, diet, and sleep patterns directly impact oral inflammation and disease. In short, they see the big picture.

Biological Dentists offer the same services as a traditional dentist—annual cleanings, cavity fillings, periodontal disease support, etc. But instead of packing your gums and teeth with toxins, they use safe, durable, non-toxic, bio-compatible dental materials for cleanings and treatments that are often far more advanced than a typical conventional dentist.

Safe, Non-Toxic Dental Testing Options

Studies indicate that some patients may develop a sensitivity to certain dental materials and need alternative options that only a biological dentist (at least at this time) will provide. A biological dentist can also recognize these sensitivities because they can perform biocompatibility testing.

Biocompatibility Testing

Testing is done via a blood test to determine which dental material best suits your biology. Most biological dentists offer a wide range of safe, bio-compatible dental materials for fillings, bridges, crowns, etc. A testing company that I suggest is BIOCOMP Labs. Their testing allows you to figure out what the least reactive materials will be for your mouth and body. It is basically an “allergy test” for dental materials and how your body reacts to them. If you are removing toxic materials, you want to replace them with low-reactive materials.

Saliva Testing Options

A study of 70,000 postmenopausal women found that women with chronic inflammatory gum disease were more likely to develop breast cancer than those who did not have it. The statistics for women who smoked or had smoked at one time and had periodontal disease were significantly higher. The study also further confirmed that high levels of oral bacteria and systemic inflammatory issues are also a sign you are burdening your body with too much inflammation. The combo works against your body to weaken your immune system and invite dis-eases and cancers into your body. Please review this blog post to learn how periodontal disease links to breast cancer.

MyPerioPath®

To know if you are at risk, the MyPerioPath® test by Oral DNA Labs can detect oral pathogens that cause gum disease and threaten oral and systemic health. It provides personalized data so that you can make the best decisions for your health. Click HERE to learn more about it and view sample reports and results. I also wrote about my experience with MyPerioPath® test in this blog post on the link between cancer and periodontal disease. The Peri Oral Health Test by Peri is also a good option.

The Blood Spot Profile

This test is a no-office visit option made by ZRT Laboratory. It tests for the top four most toxic heavy metals that can come from toxic dental products, care, and treatments. It reveals levels of certain nutritional elements. Tests in this profile include:

  • Dried Urine: Iodine, Bromine, Selenium, Arsenic, Cadmium, Mercury, and Creatinine.
  • The Blood Spot: Zinc, Copper, Magnesium, Cadmium, Lead, Mercury, Selenium.
